What is a Sound Bar?
Why is it needed?

Sound Bars

Apartment dwellers or those who live in duplexes or other living spaces may find it more of a convenience to have a sound bar instead of a surround sound system in their homes. The traditional surround sound system might be a bit noisy for the neighbors who can hear loud programming through the walls. The sound bar is a sleek, compact system that is a surround sound alternative to amplify the sound in a flat screen television.

A surround sound bar is designed to fit neatly into a room layout without all the extra speakers and bulk of wires that are usually accompanied by a surround sound system or pa speakers. It works by processing sound to trick the ear into believing the sound is coming from behind you or from all around the room.

Sound Bar Vs. Surround Sound

There are some significant differences between sound bars for TV and traditional surround sound. Although it has many convenient features for the person whose living accommodations or budget cannot host surround sound, even the best sound bar cannot give a full bass sound. Its compact cabinet is designed to operate at higher frequencies.
